Me and Luc both woke up absolutely shattered this morning, unfortunately we realized Luc had not been bitten by mosquitos the day before and in fact they were actually bed bug bites from when she had a nap on the bottom bunk! As soon as we figured out they were bed bugs we stormed down to reception (well Lucy did) who kindly moved us to a studio apartment and even did all of our washing for free, she was very apologetic. It was quite funny, the pest control were marching up the stairs whilst we were walking out!
After moving to our studio which was tiny by the way, we had a shower and went and looked for a pharmacy. Instead of a bathroom we had a really small wet room where you could actually have a shower on the toilet.
You may have noticed I haven't spoken about lunch yet, yep that's because we went and had a cheeky McDonalds (double cheeseburgers, yes please). We were so surprised at how ridiculously cheap it was for Hong Kong seeing as other places such as Pizza Hut were charging around £20 for one large pizza.
After having a much needed disco nap we decided to check out the highly rated Temple Street Night Market right after trying some local shu mai in Times Square. The market was fantastic, full of local people and tourists. We had great local food and a local beer each (Check out meal 4). The stalls on the market literally had EVERYTHING ranging from strange electronics you would never need to suitcases so we obviously had to buy something to remember our time there - Lucy bought a new bag and a phone case she had been looking for for ages!
Once we were shopped out we headed back to the apartment for an attempted early night (thanks jet lag), great evening!
