So after multiple delays and very little sleep we are finally back to reality (sort of) in Marbella! We're slowly adjusting back to normal life, catching up with family and eating simple things we have missed like fried eggs, heinz baked beans and banoffee pie. Trust me, home cooked food has never tasted so good.

Before Alfie and I started traveling not for a moment did we think about what it would be like when it all came to an end as you have so many places to look forward to all of the time it almost seems endless. People tell you that traveling will change you and you continue to nod, smile and simply agree because to be honest you haven't really got a clue what is about to happen (we definitely didn't), I think I can speak for Alfie and I both when I say the cliches are indeed true, travel can really make you lose and find yourself.

Travel is constantly testing your comfort zone, throwing you into hot water and breaking boundaries you wouldn't usually dare cross. You meet people you will never forget and learn the true value of kindness from strangers, realizing the strong impact an unknown individual can have on your day. You learn to become extremely patient as you really don't have any other choice, learning that it's sometimes okay for things not to be done in an instant. When immersing yourself into cultures it forces you to reflect on your own life making you realize how lucky we all really are. You teach yourself to find the beauty in small things whether it be silly things like a fan, a hot shower, a packet of cards or even a toilet flush.

From the highest highs and lowest lows having the opportunity to travel like we have has been nothing but extraordinary. Time to focus on getting back into our careers in January where our new chapter begins as the year ends.

But first it is time to over indulge and get back into the swing of winter life with a trip to the UK and Christmas in Marbs (yay)!
