Today is our last day in Hanoi and it started off pretty smoothly, Alfie managed to pick up our emergency cash to keep us going and we decided to treat ourselves with some pizza and pasta at one of the other hostels restaurant. With our meal being great our mood was instantly better so we decided to go for a wander up to the lake in Hanoi. The police shut the main road into the lake off so that families and children can play in the street and spend time together on the week ends (so sweet). The lake had such a friendly atmosphere and was filled with children riding bikes, skateboards and hover boards. There were old ladies (seriously she must have been about 100) selling wooden toys on the outskirts of the lake along with small street stalls selling ice cream and even a man trying to fish with a stick and a tin (he wasn't catching much)

After a busy morning we came back to the hostel to yet again to finish this blog so we can finally send it to our family and friends! With that taking a few hours we ended up relaxing, having another Bánh mì (never disappoints) and managed to change our bus to go to Cat Ba island instead where we will take a boat trip to Ha Long Bay. A lot of passing people recommended not staying in Ha Long Bay as there wasn't much to do there and it wasn't great so luckily we had the opportunity to change.

Going to bed very excited about moving on tomorrow.
