Lucy and I had a lovely lie in until it was time for check-out as we originally planed to move to a cheaper hostel where our good friends were staying however on our way out we agreed a deal with the receptionist that we couldn't refuse; a cheaper night in the private room with a bus ticket down to Hoi An which we were going to scout for anyway. So we carried our bags back up to our room and had another bath- why not?
Later on we met up with our friends on a roof-top bar and had a couple of beers. With the Cathedral being directly opposite from the bar the view was amazing, we chilled here until sunset listening to the chaos of Hanoi roads and cathedral dongs whilst the sun goes down. The Cathedral seemed to be a very popular place for the Vietnamese local children to play as there were quite a lot of families around.
After a couple of beers we thought an Indian would go down a treat for dinner as we have not had one in a while so we made a quick food stop on our way home (Check out meal 17 our eat page!). After dinner we decided to have a fresh ice cream and sit on the fountains, we couldn't believe how busy the area was with ladies selling balloons, cycle taxis and donut sellers - Hanoi really is madness!
