Another unexpected day in Bangkok, we are basically stuck here until the storm passes over Koh Samui Island and leaving tomorrow is still a risk because sea levels are predicted to rise, anyway we took today as any other day and decided to visit China Town which is only a 25 minute walk from our Hostel. The last day of the Kings funeral was held yesterday meaning the city has returned back to normal and by that I mean louder and much busier. Time for us to see what Bangkok is truly like!

Humidity is quite high in Bangkok so we did break a sweat on our walk to China Town, being if I'm honest we were quite disappointed with how little China Town had to offer, for example we initially planned to have lunch in China Town however the restaurants didn't look too pleasant and street food was very limited. There also didn't seem like much you could buy there apart from gold, however it was great to see!

As the country is no longer in mourning all clubs and bars are open tonight in Khao San road so we could't turn down one night out in Bangkok. After getting ready we had a couple of beers in reception with other travellers before heading out to the exciting Khao San road. As we arrived we noticed that it is a very open street crawling with thousands of mixed age tourists and backpackers. If you have been to Thailand before I'm sure you have indulged in a famous Thai 'bucket', they are lethal; it's basically a strong spirit mixer in a bucket. I guess this explains why all sorts of things go on down this street!
