Bangkok, Thailand Day 4

So last night we went out out in Bangkok for the first time and don't get me wrong I'm glad I went and experienced it but to be honest it wasn't really for me, it was as if people hadn't been allowed out before so all types of strange behaviour seemed to be accepted (trust me, it was weird)
Alfie and I were up, packed and checked out by 11am so decided to sneak in a cheeky McDonalds before chilling out in the upstairs lounge watching a movie. Our bus was at 6pm so by 4:30pm we had booked an Uber to take us to the bus station, twenty minutes later he all of a sudden cancelled and by that point I had a very bad feeling about this...
After trying to order another Uber no one seemed to be available leading us to shoving our bags on and trying to find a normal taxi on the main road. By the time we found a normal taxi we thought we were safe until I started to notice on my google maps that the taxi was driving the completely wrong direction for thirty minutes. After questioning the taxi driver it was clear he didn't have a clue where he was going, slow realisation that we were going to miss our bus was kicking in and it was not pretty. The taxi driver dropped us off in the middle of a main road where we must have asked 3 tuk tuks, 2 taxis and even a hotel to help us get to the bus station, nobody knew where it was. Our Plan B was to run to Khao San Road and see if a travel agency could help and we were finally in with some luck that day. We stopped at a small travel agency where an agent named Apple couldn't have been more helpful. Apple put us on the next bus at 7pm through the same company and walked us to the pick up point, after the day we had I cannot explain how refreshing it was to meet such a helpful, kind and genuine person!
We were finally on the bus to Koh Samui and have both agreed that today will always be the day we officially lost the plot in Bangkok. Happy Halloween to us!
