This morning Lucy and I still had the giggles from last night, somehow a huge friendly gecko (the size of my forearm) managed to sneak into our room from the bathroom window. As you can imagine it was hilarious trying to get it out, at one point I was holding a pillow trying to escort the gecko out of the room whilst Lucy stood there having a little panic attack. In all fairness it was that big you could hear its speedy footsteps scattering across the walls.
Anyway, today we decided to relax and soak up the sun as we know it's not going to be as easy after our travels, It's fair to say these are the days that Lucy and I are going to miss where we literally do nothing but listening to music and sitting around the pool. Later on we decided to go shopping in Chewang and then hit the bars and strip afterwards, Chewang is basically where it all happens. It is the party side of the island with a variety of clothes and accessories stalls, restaurants and a shopping mall. I remember the one thing worth buying here is their havaianas as they are quarter of the price compared to back home (who doesn't love a new pair of flip flops?)
After walking up and down Chewang bartering locals we obviously built up an appetite so it didn't take us long to sit down, order a beer and ask for the menus (Check out meal 39 on our EAT page). As the night grew older we carried on drinking local beer and playing pool whilst the bars started to fill, we kind of did our own bar crawl visiting different bars of which I used to visit growing up, before heading up towards the famous 'Green Mango' club where everybody usually ends up at the end of the evening.
